Damn Your Eyes aus New York (USA) hatten bereits mit ihrem Debütalbum „Kill The Outside“ in 2019 sehr schnell eine begeisterte Fangemeinschaft um sich versammelt. In 2020 haben sie sich neu formiert, denn gefühlsmäßig fehlte ihnen etwas, um ihre Energie – im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes – in Vollkommenheit in die Welt zu katapultieren. Darren Markoff (Schlagzeug), der 24 Jahre lang die Metal Band Korotory betrieben hatte, schloß sich Damn Your Eyes an. Außerdem konnte der Gitarrengott Gabby Abularach (ex Cro-Mags/ex Voodoocult) für das Kraftpaket gewonnen werden. Und mit Artie Alexander (Gitarre, Gesang), Oddie McLaughlin (Bass) sowie Kenny Vincent Jr. (Gesang) ging es dann direkt ins Studio, um einige neue Tracks aufzunehmen. Mit ihrer ersten Single und dem dazugehörigen neuen Musikvideo „Heavy Is The Head“ setzen die Jungs gleich ein klares Zeichen dafür, was eingefleischte Metalliebhaber von Damn Your Eyes erwarten können. Kraft, Donner, Gitarrenduelle… – eine unaufhaltsame Energiewelle kommt auf uns zu, die aber gleichzeitig von tiefgründigen Songtexten begleitet wird.
